Over the years, Funky Vinyl has hosted numerous unforgettable parties, all envisioned and curated by DJ Nobody Knows, the alias of founder and owner Matthijs Spanjaart. These events have taken place across the Netherlands, with a strong focus on Amsterdam. From soulful nights and vinyl-fueled raves to vibrant Tropicalia parties, Funky Vinyl has created countless memorable experiences. Featuring top-rated bands and carefully chosen DJs, each event left an indelible mark on the nightlife scene. Collectief van event professionals
In 2016 is Funky Vinyl gestart door Matthijs Spanjaart (DJ Nobody Knows) als dj-collectief. Inmiddels is het collectief uitgebreid met meer dj’s, maar ook muzikanten, artiesten, eventmanagers en technici.
Iedere Funky Vinyl-artiest heeft een eigen stijl en specialisme. We zijn een collectief met een onuitputtelijke bron van muzikale kennis en creativiteit om ieder event invulling te geven. Van alle technische aspecten, tot de aankleding en natuurlijk de muzikale omlijsting.

6 goede redenen om voor Funky Vinyl te kiezen
Natuurlijk zijn wij dé vinyl specialist. Maar draaien ook digitaal als er verzoeken zijn die we niet op vinyl hebben. Alles voor de juiste plaat.
De opdracht is bij ons bevestigd bij een ondertekende offerte. De factuur wordt gestuurd in de week voor het feest.
We bespreken alles van tevoren tot in de puntjes. Wat zijn de verzoeken? Welke kant gaat het op met de muziek?
Elke boeking is maatwerk, bij Funky Vinyl huur je een DJ vanaf 175,- per uur voor minimaal 3 uur. (Het kan korter of langer, maar de minimale fee is voor 3 uur)
Wij hebben meer dan 1000 feestjes gedraaid en organiseren zelf ook de meest te gekke feesten.
Wij bouwen alles op en weer af in samenspraak met de locatie. Zelf geen omkijken naar. Wij regelen het.

Gallowstreet
In April 2023 Nobody Knows invited Gallowstreet in WesterUnie Amsterdam, the 8 member strong brass band from the windy streets of Amsterdam North is back with their fifth studio effort reflecting on their over a decade long career of bringing the best that instrumental brass music has to offer.
Benny Rodrigues
On multiple Vinyl Raves at Houtbaar in Haarlem and Wibar in Leiden Nobody Knows invited this legend. Benny Rodrigues has infiltrated himself in the list of famous Dutch top DJs in a very short time.
Habibi Funk
A better fit for the Nobody Knows philosophy is more or less unthinkable. Spanning a plethora of genres from funk, soul and jazz to punk and hip-hop, Habibi Funk unearths hidden gems released in the 1960’s-80’s across the Middle East and North Africa, reissuing the records in eclectic compilations for the modern listener, as well as more recently releasing music from musicians in the current day
DJ Bone
Who else to invite if you think about a Vinyl Rave? DJ Bone is one of Detroit's most coveted underground vinyl technicians. This very talented and highly sought after artist plays events and clubs worldwide.
Michel de Hey
"Electronic music has always been about discovery. Taking dance floors to a next level with exciting new sounds, capturing audiences with a continuous element of surprise" says Michel de Hey. A sentence that inspired Nobody Knows to invite this legend for a vinyl session.
Coeo
DJ Nobody Knows invited this duo for a club session at Bret in Amsterdam in 2024. Coeo is a eclectic DJ and music production duo hailing from Germany, known for their unique blend of disco & house music.
Cincity
DJ Nobody Knows invited Cincity to end one of the Tropicalia parties in WesterUnie. Cincity, who is known as Cin to her friends and family, has an insatiable thirst for artistic expression.
Eddy De Clercq
The legendary Eddy de Clercq was invited by DJ Nobody Knows to play his Afrotronic sound.
Brass Rave Unit
This was a blast, when DJ Nobody Knows asked Brass Rave Unit to close up the Amsterdam Soul Night.
Benjamin Fro
Benjamin Fro is an Amsterdam based singer-songrapper that combines critical lyrics with soulful beats. Kendrick Lamar, Noname and Chance the Rapper are among his musical influences but he shares his message with Bob Marley, Logic and Laurynn Hill.
DJ Tracksuit
Takling about true passionate DJs, guys who just love music and even more the sharing of it. DJ Tracksuit is always a nominee to get an invite by DJ Nobody Knows.
Fleur du Bonheur
Fleur du Bonheur warmed up our dancefloor on the beach in the summer of 2023. She is a cosmic curator of disco delight, renowned for her transcendent journeys through the soulful sounds of the late 70s and early 80s

On multiple events DJ Nobody Knows invited Ghetto Funk Collective to enlighten the dancefloor with sick moves and funky tricks.

Arp Frique & Family
When producer, musician, and thinker Arp Frique introduced himself to the world on debut record ‘The Colorful World of Arp Frique’, the world couldn’t help but smile back. Five years on, the grin still can’t be wiped from his listeners’ faces, as Arp Frique has since gone on to live many fruitful, joyful lives. Besides three releases since - each distinct from the others -, the most recent of which the infectious ‘The Seed’, Arp Frique has not only been heard on BBC Radio and NTS, but on stages around the world, where he journeys with his musical family. Along the way, he continues to stamp smiles onto people’s faces, thanks to his expertly crafted grooves.

Every year we orgenize Samba at the Beach with Roda da Holanda. The most tropical day of the year on Zandvoort Beach. Roda da Holanda represents an evening that revolves around Brazilian samba, dancing and connecting with the music and each other.
Suze Ijo
Nobody Knows invited the Rotterdam native Suze Ijo back in 2023 for Amsterdam Soul Night at WesterUnie. She found herself drawn to dancing and collecting records; a passion that notched up a level after she became a First Floor member.
Jim Sharp
Toronto native, London based Jim Sharp is one of the premier remixers within the global DJ game. "And one of the best DJs I've seen around" according to DJ Nobody Knows.
De Sluwe Vos
De Sluwe Vos (The Sly Fox) has made a remarkable impact on the scene these past few years. Just as remarkable were his Vinyl DJ-sets on the Vinyl Raves where Nobody Knows invited him
New Cool Collective
As pioneers in the Dutch jazz scene, ofcource Nobody Knows had to invite them. These musicians were long seen as a bit "strange". Jazz purists regarded their Soul Jazz Latin Flavours Nineties Vibe as too hard and fast. But once younger clubbers found their way to this throbbing dance orchestra then playing at Café Meander, the future arrived and both jazz lovers and jazz haters couldn’t stay away.
Secret Cinema
Nobody Knows invited Secret Cinema. A key figure on the Dutch scene since 1991. An international headlining artist known for his sets in Berghain, Space Ibiza, Womb Tokio, Watergate, his frequent Elrow gigs or headlining every major festival in the Netherlands. Gem Records label boss.
Rob Manga
DJ Nobody Knows invited Rob Manga on various events through the years. Today Manga is one of the most respected DJs who plays at the biggest and most important clubs and festivals in the Netherlands. Manga is considered to be one of the most musical DJs of the country.
