During Haarlem Vinyl Festival on October 2, 3& 4, Locael Centraal transforms into Het Huis van Funky Vinyl, a three-day celebration dedicated to the art, culture and community of vinyl DJing.
Curated and hosted by DJ Nobody Knows, founder andcreative force behind Funky Vinyl, this unique programme celebrates 10years of Funky Vinyl while paying tribute to the timeless culture of DJs who continue to keep vinyl alive.
From documentary screenings and exclusive vinyl DJ workshopsto intimate record markets, legendary performances and unforgettable clubnights, every moment revolves around one thing: music played the way it was meant to be heard.
Friday, October 2
We kick off the weekend with the Vinyl Bingo Dinner (18:00–20:00), where great food meets musical nostalgia in a fun, interactive evening. Straight afterwards, we turn back the clock with The Credible 90'sParty, celebrating the greatest tracks of one of music's most iconic decades, all played on vinyl.
Saturday, October 3
Saturday begins with the documentary lunch hosted by Steppin' into Tomorrow, featuring the acclaimed film Sample Not For Sale. We won't only show the movie but there will be an added Q&A with the director of the movie, Mike Redman.
Throughout the day, visitors can browse the carefully selected records at the Killa Cutz Records pop-up market from Amsterdam,take part in vinyl DJ workshops, and celebrate 10 years of Funky Vinyl withDJ Maestro behind the decks from 16:00 onwards.
In the evening, The House of Vinyl takes over with anunforgettable night of local selectors. Mike Ravelli and DJ NobodyKnows set the tone before Dutch DJ legend Dimitri delivers anexclusive three-hour all-vinyl closing set.
Sunday, October 4
Sunday opens with another documentary lunch, this time featuring the legendary film Scratch, hosted by DJ DNS. Following the screening, DJ DNS will present a live turntablism showcase, demonstrating the art of scratching that made the film so influential.
The afternoon once again offers vinyl DJ workshops alongside the Killa Cutz Records market.
The festival reaches its grand finale with an extraordinary closing night featuring BBC Radio legend Gilles Peterson, supported by KC The Funkaholic, Head Programmer of Paradiso and curtator DJ Nobody Knows. Expect an unforgettable journey through jazz, soul, funk, house, broken beatand beyond—always on vinyl.
